Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian CRNA at Elgin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, FL.
CRNA shall provide full scope and range of anesthesia care for in-patient and outpatient procedures; including, but not limited to full care for cases specializing in 13 pediatrics, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, general surgery, vascular and bariatric surgery.
CRNA shall monitor and supervise management of patient’s anesthesia experience. CRNA should be able to manage patient’s care independently and as the sole provider; such that they can render in hospital call covering Hospital Wards, Operating Room, Emergency Room and Obstetrics. CRNA will have available to them a medical doctor for consultation if they feel the operative case warrants such consultation, however, consultation is not required.
The Position will have the following requirements:
License/Certificates Any State License
Board-certified as a Registered Nurse
Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Degree: Master’s degree in nursing.
Education Graduate from an academic program, approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA).
Experience The CRNA shall have provided nurse anesthesia services a minimum of 6 months within the past 12 months prior to hire and have a total of at least 36 months CRNA practice as an independent undirected/unsupervised practitioner.
The CRNA shall be on duty for the Anesthesiology Department located in the 96th Medical Group for 40 hours per week. Services are for an 8 ½ -hour period to include one-half hour (non-paid) for lunch, Monday through Friday throughout the term of the agreement.
