Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potenial opportunity for an Operating Room Registered Nurse at Travis AFB in Fairfield, CA.

Position Requirements:
- A minimum of 24 months of experience is mandatory in operating room assignments.
- Experience must include all phases of operating room technique such as preparing operating room units, preparing patients for surgery, and assisting medical officer during surgery; and conducting instrument and equipment sterilization procedures.
- BLS and ACLS life support certifications
- BSN degree preferred
Position Duties and Skills:
- Gather all supplies needed for the operation
- Assume responsibility for keeping the operating room sterilized
- Proven experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for all patients including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and the elderly; disabled to include visually and hearing impaired; and individuals of varying ethnic and religious backgrounds to include those who do not speak or understand English.
- Provides accurate and complete documentation of patient care events and process improvement activities IAW MTF guidelines.
- Knowledgeable of laboratory test values
- Administers medications, electrolytes, fluids, blood, and blood products.
- Adheres to perioperative, infection control and safety policies and procedures.
