Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Los Angeles Air Force Base in Los Angeles, Ca.   This Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) contract offers:

 

  • Outpatient Clinic but may function in a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH)
  • M-F 7:30am – 4:30pm  
  • No night, No weekends, No On-Call
  • 11 Paid Holidays

 

 

Job Requirements:

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) position will have the following requirements:

 

  • Any State Clinical Social Worker License
  • Must be able to practice independently
  • Experience in brief behavioral interventions
  • Doctorate or Master’s degree
  • Must have at least 12 months of experience, in the last 24 months, with assessingand providing evidence-based individual counseling to patients within a mentalhealth or health care facility.
  • Must have at least 12 months of direct hands-on experience in the last 24 months with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use of an automated medical record system.
  • Prefer those with recent experience (within the past three years) providing integrated behavioral health services within a primary care setting

Duties may include but not limited to:

 

  • Provides brief (typically no more than four appointments) cognitive/behavioral interventions in primary care under the Air Force consultation model (i.e., per the Air Force Behavioral Health Optimization Program Practice Manual). Services will mimic the pace of primary care (i.e., patients seen for 15- to 30-minuteappointments).

 

  • May provide classes in format appropriate for primary care (e.g., stress management class, sleep enhancement class, chronic pain class).

 

  • Successfully consults with PCMs on-demand about general issues and specific patients

 

  • Delivers brief presentations/trainings to primary care team members regarding behavioral health issues and IBHC services.

 

  • Participates in team efforts to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise clinical pathway programs needed in the clinic.

 

  • Provide technical direction and clinical insight into relevant projects being conducted at the site of service.

 

  • Provide concise documentation of care and recommendations in the patient’s electronic medical record within the allowable timeframe defined by the MTF standard after the patient is seen.
