Job Description:

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Speech Pathologist at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.  This Speech Pathologist offers:

Job Requirements:

The Position will have the following requirements:

• Any State License
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in communication disorders or speech pathology  
• Current and valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
• 36 months of direct experience as a speech pathologist in a hospital setting.

Core Duties:

•  Develop coherent treatment strategies.

•  Incorporate new clinical procedures sufficient to perform clinical services independently.

•  Conduct patient assessments; provide treatment interventions and consultation to other health care professionals.

•  Use instrumentation (e.g., video fluoroscopy, nasendoscopy, stroboscopy, computer technology) to observe, collect data, and measure parameters of                 communication and swallowing

•  Provide prevention, screening, consultation, assessment and diagnostic, treatment, intervention, management, counseling, and follow-up services

    fordisorders of speech and language, including comprehension and expression in oral, written, graphic, and manual modalities.
