Occupational Therapist

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Occupational Therapist at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska.

• Full-time opportunity
• No Call
• No Evenings
• Outpatient setting
• Approximately 6 to 8 scheduled patients per day will be serviced by the contract therapist/assistant.

Job Requirements:

The Occupational Therapy position will have the following requirements: 

• Graduate from ACOTE accredited program
• BLS
• Contract Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) shall possess and maintain a valid unrestricted current license from any United States jurisdiction. The licenses and/or certificates must be renewed and maintained in a status during the life of the contract.  
• Contract OTR’s must maintain valid NBCOT certification for the life of the contract.
• American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certification in orthopedic, sport and manual therapy is encouraged.  Certified Hand Therapist preferred.
• Contract therapist and therapy assistants shall maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification over the full life of the contract. 
• Outpatient Occupational therapy experience required.

The Contract Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) shall have and demonstrate sufficient experience to be able to evaluate and treat disease and injuries to include, but not limited, to the following:

• Musculoskeletal
• Neuromuscular
• Cognitive
• Cardiovascular/Pulmonary
