Overview: Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care to join our dynamic team at Travis Air Force Base. As a crucial member of our healthcare community, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care in a critical care setting.
Education Requirements:
- Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or as otherwise identified.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate exceptional organization, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively articulate medical requirements to patients, families/caregivers, medical, and non-medical staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilize knowledge and skills to proficiently apply core case management functions:
- Assessment: Identify patients for case management, collect comprehensive patient information and medical status, and continuously evaluate an established plan of care.
- Planning: Collaborate with patients, families/caregivers, primary providers, and healthcare team members to develop effective care plans.
- Facilitation: Coordinate care and communicate effectively among all involved parties.
- Advocacy: Provide support to patients and families/caregivers, ensuring they receive the necessary education and timely, appropriate care.
Additional Requirements:
- Skilled and tactful in communicating with individuals who may be physically or mentally ill, uncooperative, fearful, emotionally distraught, or occasionally dangerous.
- Proficient knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality standards, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Familiarity with accreditation standards of Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and The Joint Commission (TJC).
- Proficiency in computer applications and software, including Microsoft Office programs, MS Outlook (email), and internet navigation.
