Hours of Performance:
Monday to Friday, 0600-1700 (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), you will work alongside dentists and other dental assistants to provide placement of restorations and simple teeth cleaning to patients with no periodontal disease.
- Perform duties similar to military or government civil service dental assistants, including chairside dental assisting, radiology, and sterilization.
- Occasionally assist with patient scheduling or records review.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a formal dental assistant training program.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical dental assisting experience within the last three years.
- Certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) approved by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider Course.
- Training or education program including coursework on radiation physics, biology, health, safety/protection, X-ray films/digital radiography, image quality, and radiographic techniques meeting or exceeding 42 C.F.R. Part 75 requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
