Position: Chiropractic Assistant
Location: Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Excluding Federal Holidays)
- Shifts: 8.5, 9, or 10.5 hours between 0600 to 1800
- Includes a 30-minute or 1-hour uncompensated meal-break (Depending on shift length)
- Maximum 80 hours per two-week period
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Certificate
- Education: Completion of a formal training program as a chiropractic assistant, nursing assistant, physical therapy assistant, operating room technician, or similar medically related support occupation
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a Chiropractic Assistant or similar position post-graduation
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a chiropractic assistant if required by the state as specified in the Task Order
Core Duties:
- Prepare treatment areas for incoming patients
- Administer complex, specialized supportive physiotherapy treatment including ultrasound, electrotherapy, therapeutic hot/cold, and therapeutic exercise in alignment with chiropractic treatments, under supervision
- Instruct and supervise patients during exercise programs
- Promptly report any unusual patient treatment responses or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
- Accurately document patient history, symptoms, interventions, observations, and education in the electronic health record as per provider instructions and established protocols, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the provider
