Job Posting: Occupational Therapy Assistant
Location: Intrepid Spirit Clinic, Camp Pendleton, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Excluding Federal Holidays)
- Shifts: 8.5, 9, or 10.5 hours between 0600 to 1800
- Includes a 30-minute or 1-hour uncompensated meal-break (Depending on shift length)
- Maximum 80 hours per two-week period
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Associate's Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Certification: Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant after graduation
- License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant
Core Duties:
- Provide a full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider
- Utilize assessment tools, intervention techniques, and treatment modalities as directed by a credentialed provider
- Deliver complex/multi-step instructions to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, adapting instructions according to individual learning styles
- Identify, recommend, and fabricate complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment, and dynamic splinting after consultation with the occupational therapist
