Join Our Team as a Part-time Tai Chi Instructor!
Site: Mental Health Clinic
Location: Camp Pendleton, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday between 0600-1800. HCW shall be on duty for 20 hours each week. Services not required on federal holidays. Specific schedule determined by government supervisor. HCW will not exceed 40 hours per 2-week period.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification: Certified Tai Chi Instructor (Level I) by ATCQA.
- Minimum 150 documented hours in formal Tai Chi training.
- Minimum 500 documented Tai Chi teaching hours.
- Three letters of references from Tai Chi instructors or trainers.
- Experience: As detailed in Enclosure II.
- Licensure: Adhere to applicable qualification requirements.
Core Duties:
- Provide Tai Chi instruction to augment patient therapy for injuries and stress related to military training and combat.
- Confer with patients about medical histories and stress/pain issues.
- Assess soft tissue condition, joint quality, muscle strength, and range of motion.
- Develop patient treatment plans incorporating Tai Chi techniques.
- Refer patients to other providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and health attendance records.
- Provide accurate Tai Chi instruction for stretching, low-impact training, and toning.
- Promote Tai Chi for fitness and overall wellness.
- Monitor class participants and ensure proper technique and equipment use.
- Enforce safety practices and maintain a safe environment.
