Job Title: Registered Nurse - Primary Care
Site: Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, Adult Medical Care Clinic
Location: Twenty-Nine Palms, CA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shift (0700 to 1830) with an uncompensated 30-minute meal break
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our clinical services team. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients across various specialties. From triaging patients to facilitating communication and performing clinical procedures, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.
Rate: $45/hr + $4.41/hw
Responsibilities:
- Assess health care needs for family members of active duty and retired military members across diverse nursing specialties.
- Triage patients to determine the nature and urgency of health problems, directing them to appropriate levels of care.
- Facilitate telephone communication between healthcare providers and patients, providing telephonic nursing advice as needed.
- Assist with clinic procedures, serving as a resource person for nursing procedures and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and deliver comprehensive care, ensuring continuity and coordination of services.
- Perform basic nursing care procedures, including screenings, assessments, and patient education.
- Prepare patients for examinations, assist during procedures, and monitor their physical and emotional status.
- Administer medications and immunizations according to clinic policies, ensuring safe medication administration.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation of all nursing care provided.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid state nursing license (RN) with no limitations or adverse actions.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university; graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical setting.
- Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, speaking) for effective communication with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of computer operations and basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
