Ophthalmology Technician

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Ophthalmology Technician at Bremerton Naval Hosptial in Bremerton, WA.

Requirements:

* Have a minimum of a high school Diploma or GED Equivalent

* Certification of a certificate of completion of ophthalmic technician course

* Possess and maintain current certification as a Certified Opthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Opthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Opthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Opthalmology or 2 years of training as an opthalmic technicain in the United Staes Armed Forces. 

* Must have at least 1 year of experience as an ophthalmology technician

*Current BLS

Duties

*Provide a wide variety of duties to assist the optomitrist/opthamologist as appropriate

*Obtain Patient histories, RX verification, and maintain patient records

*Assist in testing patient vision

*Examine eye usling slit lamp
