Certified Medical Assistant

Position Overview: We have a potential opening for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor. This role involves a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination rooms prior to patients' arrival
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed
• Check patients' vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, and blood pressure
• Obtain and document patients' current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered
• Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies
• Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant
• Strong understanding of medical procedures and terminology
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
