Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team in providing outstanding care at the renowned VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS).

This position will be supporting VA Palo Alto Health Care System across its campuses in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore, CA.

Requirements

• Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted CNA license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required, as well as annual renewal of certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen 

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care (90% of time):

• Provide comprehensive nursing assistant services equivalent to those in a civilian medical treatment facility.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians.
• Deliver high-quality care, demonstrating knowledge of all care stages.
• Implement care plans in accordance with the standards of the VA and Joint Commission.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment used in care delivery.
• Provide patient and family education.

Administrative Duties (10% of time):

• Participate in quality improvement activities and meetings as required.
• Complete necessary quality assurance and performance improvement documentation.
• Adhere to infection control standards and ensure patient safety.
• Accurately document care in the electronic medical record system.
