Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) at the ATAMMC (Dumfries Ambulatory Health Center) - in Dumfries, Virginia.  This opportunity will support active military members, veterans and their dependents. 

 

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours a week) Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm or 8:00am to 4:00pm

Job Duties:

  • Lead P.O.C. for psychiatrists & psychiatry patients 
  • Maintain accurate patient dosing records
  • TOLS management psychiatrist
  • Management of vital sign equipment and room: working properly, charged, clean
  • Triage patients, eliciting needed information to determine the nature and urgency of Behavioral Health problems.
  • Assist patients in finding appointments in the direct and purchased care BH system
  • facilitate emergent care coordination and transfers for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.
  • Collaborates and plans for comprehensive health care with other healthcare team members.
  • Works closely with the Behavioral Health provider team to monitor, track, and manage patients identified as “high risk”. 
  • Functions as resource person and facilitate for patients, helps acquaint patient with available community resources
  • Collaborates with Health Center Case Management staff to support on-going case management efforts for Behavioral Health patients 

 

Requirements:

  • Completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university; and/or graduate of an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) School.
  • 2 years of experience within Behavioral Health within last 5 years
  • Valid and current license from any state
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must furnish immunizations
  • Must be a U.S citizen (proof required)
