Dental Assistant

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our team in providing outstanding care at 355 Medical Group, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ. Supporting the 355 Medical Group by providing dental services to military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and pulse.
• Assist dentists during procedures by retracting tissues, suctioning, and maintaining a clear operating field.
• Instruct patients on proper dental hygiene techniques and provide education on oral health care.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as locating and filing charts, conducting chart reviews, and making patient phone calls.
• Assist with patient scheduling and treatment documentation using the Corporate Dental Application or other designated systems.
• Maintain dental treatment rooms, ensuring proper stock levels, handling minor repairs, and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Monitor expiration dates and remove expired items from the treatment area.
• Assist in managing medical emergencies when necessary.

Requirements:

• Certified Dental Assistant Program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (required before starting).
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and infection control procedures.
• Strong administrative skills for record-keeping, scheduling, and patient communication.
• Familiarity with dental software systems for treatment documentation.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies and provide immediate support.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with patients and dental providers effectively.
