Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Ancillary Robins AFB
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms prior to patient’s arrival
- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointment scheduling
- Check patient’s vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading
- Obtain and document patient’s medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs
- Perform documentation and filing
- Administer screening tools/forms
- Enter patient demographic data, diagnosis, and departure time into the computer
- Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered
- Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance
- Complete lab and x-ray requisitions according to clinic policies
- Answer telephones and emails
- Report changes in patient condition to medical staff
- Administer medications, including injections, under supervision
- Perform basic wound care and sterilize soiled equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- Education: Certificate of completion from a certified nursing assistant program or a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
- Certification: Current certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or registration by the American Medical Technologists.
- Experience: At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant post-graduation.
- Basic Life Support Certification: Required.
