Requirements:

• Degree: Certificate

• Education: Graduate from a medical laboratory technician training program accredited by one of the following:

  • National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)

  • Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)

  • Educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist/Technician (AMT)

• Certification: Certification/registration as determined by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or AMT

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last two (2) years as a Medical Laboratory Technician
