Laboratory Technician Specialist

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Technical Specialist - Lab to work in the Miami VA System - Miami, Florida.

Position Highlights:

• Weekend, Holiday, Evening and Night Hour Shifts
• 12 hour shifts

Job Summary:

The Technical Specialist provides expertise in laboratory procedures, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical resource for lab staff.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in laboratory testing.
• Develop and refine laboratory protocols.
• Train staff on specialized laboratory techniques.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Job Requirements:

• Graduation from a medical laboratory technician training program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• Certification as a Medical Lab tech by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT) or state licensure as a medical lab tech
• BLS
• Current immunization record
