Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Graduate from a nursing program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred (but not required) certification in Family Practice Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or another recognized national nursing certification organization.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements and provide documentation of immunizations, physical exams, and tuberculosis screening (Two Step TST or Blood Assay).
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care within the scope of practice, adhering to established standards of care and federal/state laws.
- Deliver care in Ambulatory Care, Family Practice, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, Case Management, Health Education, Health Promotion, Disease Management, and Behavioral Health settings.
- Act as a patient advocate and promote desired health outcomes through patient and family education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care delivery.
- Assess health and healthcare needs of individuals and populations using preventive health assessments, nursing histories, physical exams, and other data sources.
- Collect, record, and analyze patient health data to determine nursing needs and establish realistic health goals with patients and families.
- Plan and implement comprehensive care to achieve expected outcomes.
- Evaluate and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing assessment data.
- Provide group and individual health education.
- Participate in staff development programs by offering educational lectures, in-service training, and technical direction to other staff members.
- Attend staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement.
