Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, AD, or BSN).
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license from any state, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time nursing experience within the last five years, with specific experience in Wound Care nursing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in patient care needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care within the Wound Care Department.
- Work closely with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to implement effective wound care treatment plans.
- Assess patient conditions, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient progress.
- Perform dressing changes, wound debridement, and patient education related to wound care management.
- Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with military and hospital guidelines.
- Participate in staff education and continuous improvement initiatives related to wound care services.
- Work collaboratively with other nursing staff and leadership to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Shifts will be prearranged with the COR and may include 8- or 12-hour shifts, with potential for weekends and holidays based on mission needs.
