Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT, MLS, or CLS).
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in Chemistry, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, and Microbiology.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must meet all credentialing requirements and provide documentation of immunizations, physical exams, and tuberculosis screening (Two Step TST or Blood Assay).
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine chemistry testing using automated instrumentation.
- Conduct urinalysis testing, including manual and automated procedures.
- Carry out blood bank procedures, such as cross-matching, antibody screening, and processing blood products.
- Execute hematology and coagulation testing, including routine quality control and instrument maintenance.
- Perform microbiology testing, including plating, gram staining, PCR testing, and bacterial identification.
- Maintain compliance with College of American Pathologists (CAP) Proficiency Testing (PT) Program.
- Independently test, evaluate, document, and report patient results.
- Identify and resolve collection, processing, testing, and reporting issues.
- Provide professional and high-quality laboratory services to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
