Job Requirements:
The Position will have the following requirements:
- Must be graduate of an approved program in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology, evidence by an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution by the JRCERT and certification by the ARRT in radiation therapy. The qualifications of such personnel shall be subject to review by the VA Chief of Staff and approval by the VA Facility Director. Competency requirements shall be defined by the Washington, DC VA Medical Center.
- One (1) year of experience - Knowledge of overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment. Experience with Varian linear accelerators is preferred.
- One (1) year of experience - Delivery of prescribed therapeutic radiation for the purposes of cancer and abnormal cell growth treatments.
- One (1) year of experience – in 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), Intensity-Modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT).
- BLS Certification
- U.S Citizenship required
