Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a potential opportunity in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX.
This role offers a meaningful, mission-focused environment with a collaborative care team and the unique privilege of serving our nation’s veterans.
Provide advanced nursing care to veterans with spinal cord injuries and neurorehabilitation needs
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to manage individualized care plans
Monitor patient progress, administer treatments, and educate patients and families
Support clinical operations through detailed documentation and patient advocacy
Work one weekend per month as part of a shared schedule rotation
Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state
Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience within the last 5 years.
Current ACLS certification (AHA approved) – applicable to SICU, IMCU, CCU, ICU, Stepdown, or ER
Current BLS certification (AHA approved)
Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
Work in a federal clinical setting serving a deserving veteran population
