Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunty for a Phlebotomy Technician (Donor Center) to join our team supporting the Armed Services Blood Bank Center located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, WA.
This role is ideal for candidates passionate about donor care and skilled in venipuncture and blood collection procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Donor Phlebotomy program (Joint Commission or CAP)
Certification as a Donor Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
Minimum of 50 successful donor or patient venipunctures
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Perform donor screening, blood collection, and component processing
Conduct phlebotomy, take vitals, and monitor donor well-being
Operate and maintain blood collection and apheresis equipment
Label, process, and store specimens according to SOP and FDA guidelines
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and infection control standards
Provide guidance to students and staff on proper phlebotomy techniques
Support mobile blood drives and maintain donor area cleanliness
