Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an Exciting Potential Opportunity for a Certified Medical Dosimetrist to support VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Certification in Medical Dosimetry by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB)

  • 2+ years recent experience as a Medical Dosimetrist (within the last 3 years)

  • Experience performing QA procedures

  • 1+ year experience in an ACR or APEX certified healthcare system

  • 1+ year working with Varian Linear Accelerators (TrueBeam with Rapid Arc or equivalent)

  • 1+ year using Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) including Cone Beam CT (per TG-142 standards)

  • 3+ years using Eclipse treatment planning system and ARIA record & verify system (SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT; TG-53 & MPPG 5.B standards)

  • 3+ years working with GE CT Simulator or equivalent

 

 

 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to deliver exceptional patient care.

  • Lead and oversee all medical dosimetry services and quality assurance activities.

  • Create accurate and detailed treatment plans for SRS/SRT (including HyperArc), IMRT, SBRT, 2D/3D planning, and IGRT.

  • Utilize imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET-CT) for simulations and tumor localization.

  • Design and supervise the fabrication of beam-modifying and immobilization devices.

  • Guide treatment plan implementation to ensure safety, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Perform and document precise dosimetric calculations, verifying accuracy at every step.

  • Support the Medical Physicist with radiation protection, equipment calibration, and quality control.

  • Apply specialized dosimetry techniques, including ion chamber, TLD, and film measurements.
