Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN team at Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and prepare them for OB/GYN exams and procedures

  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints

  • Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments

  • Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and instruments in a clean and organized manner

  • Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR)

  • Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care

  • Support front-office functions such as scheduling, referrals, and medical records when needed

Qualifications

  • Must posses high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or an associates in Medical Assisting from an accredited college

  • Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA)

  • Minimum of one year experience in an OB/GYN or women’s health setting preferred

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
