
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Surgical Technologist at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. This new 13-week opportunity allows the technician to focus on quality patient care in an environment focused on compassionate service and mutual respect.

Position Details
- Perform sterile techniques, set up surgical trays, prepare and drape patients for surgery, and assist with post-operative dressings
- Ensure surgical packs are cleaned and packed for sterilization after every procedure
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for the patient by actively cleaning clinical spaces, operating rooms, and medical equipment or guiding other personnel in environmental maintenance
Position Requirements:
- Hold current national certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Graduate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
- Have completed an appropriate training program for surgical technologists in the armed forces, at a CAAHEP accredited hospital or CAAHEP ambulatory surgical treatment center program, or complete the surgical technologists LCC-ST certifying exam within 18 months from the date of hire
- BLS
- 24 months of recent surgical experience
- Minimal weekend call and a proportional rotation of late stays (usually2-3 times per month
