Clinical Scope:
- Health Technician shall provide direct and indirect treatment through assessing patient status and determining priorities.
- Perform required Electrocardiograms (ECGs) and any other support related tests.
- Ensure that the inpatient ward’s needs are met in a support capacity to enhance patient care.
- Contracted personnel will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide appropriate care in accordance with unit standards.
- Performs basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, turning, dressing etc.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizen
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Certfied Phlebotomy Technician through the California Department of Public Health
- Hands on experience for the last 12 months as a Health Technician
- BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
- Demostrates knowledge and competency in performing electrocardiograms(EGGs), including proper lead placement, operation of ECG equipment, and basic recognition of common rhythm abnormalities.
- Any EKG certification.
