Schedule: Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, for 11:00am - 7:30 pm,
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Certificate.
- Education: Graduate from a behavioral science program with specialized training in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment.
- Certification: Maintain national certification credential by NAADAC, NBCC, or IC&RC/AODA.
- Experience: Minimum one year as a Substance Abuse Counselor after graduation.
- License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted Certified Addictions Counselor license.
Core Duties:
- Provide comprehensive Certified Addiction Counselor duties, including medical care treatment and patient education.
- Obtain and provide relevant information to facilitate treatment and program development.
- Conduct assessments of substance abuse and addiction.
- Identify and document medical consequences of substance use, including withdrawal and detoxification.
- Facilitate patient placement and management within the continuum of care model.
