Pharmacy Technician – Fairfax, VA

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at the Fairfax Ambulatory Care Center in Fairfax, Virginia.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician who enjoys working in an outpatient setting and providing quality service to patients in a professional healthcare environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Location: Fairfax Ambulatory Care Center – Fairfax, VA
• Employment: Full-time employee position

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer service to patients
• Receiving and processing prescriptions accurately
• Preparing medications for dispensing under the direction of a pharmacist
• Assisting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment
• Dispensing medications in accordance with established procedures
• Completing and maintaining required patient and pharmacy documentation
• Stocking medications and maintaining pharmacy inventory
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment
• Following all applicable pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Current national Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Current BLS certification
