Job Requirements:
The Athletic Trainer will have the following requirements:
- Degree/Education. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission
on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Shall possess a Master’s Degree in
Athletic Training, or Health Science related discipline from an accredited institution. - Certification. Athletic Trainer(s) shall possess and maintain a current Certification in Athletic Training by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Shall be certified in at least one (1) form of soft tissue mobilization, Active Release Therapy (ART), Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (e.g. Graston, ASTM, SASTM), or Dry Needling (e.g. Myopain Seminars, Evidence in Motion, Structure and Function).
- Licensure/Registration. Must maintain a full, valid, unrestricted, and current license in a
state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands. - Must have at least two (2) years of professional experience working with
military personnel, professional, Olympic or collegiate sports; one (1) year of full-time
experience must be within the last two (2) years. Experience must be in a full-time capacity
evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries in a clinic or training room environment.
