Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a POTENTIAL opportunity for a Dental Hygienist at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota.   Job Requirements: - Degree/Education: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree depending on the program. - Experience: As a minimum, the dental hygienist shall have a minimum of 1 year of experience following graduation from dental hygiene school. Dental hygienist shall have been performing clinical hygiene services during 12 of the last 36 months. - Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Dental Hygienist. - Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (BLS must be through AHA): Certified in radiography   Duties:  - Examine patient's oral cavity to include mouth, throat, and pharynx, and record conditions of teeth and surrounding tissues. Refer patients to dentist who have abnormalities to include cavities, defective fillings, suspicious growths, or periodontal disease. - Apply desensitizing and other topical agents to treat abnormalities to include caries prevention, gingivitis, and oral ulceration. - Instruct patients, individually and in groups, in proper oral hygiene care using materials to include teeth models, displays, slides, toothbrushes, dental floss, disclosing tablets and mirrors. Demonstrate proper techniques of brushing, flossing, and use of necessary periodontal aids. Explain the common causes of tooth decay and its relationship to general diet. - Take impressions and construct sports/safety mouth guards and soft night guards for vital bleaching. - Polish restorations and apply pit and fissure sealants. - Chair side dental assisting when directed by the Officer-In-Charge of the dental clinic. - Record patients treated. Check and maintain instruments to insure working condition. Clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments. - Patient Workload, Readiness, and Scheduling. Utilizes the Corporate Dental Application to enter patient specific workload and readiness status and also for patient scheduling. - Assist Preventative Dentistry team with preventative dentistry duties when needed. The nurses will be expected to perform services to injured workers in person and telephonically in/around the area of Fresno, California.   Position Details: - Provide nursing services to injured Federal workers who has immediate time loss and has not returned to work within a specified number of days. Will manage a case typically from 3 to 6 months - Following up with the physician’s office and employee’s supervisor to coordinate light duty, job accommodations and return to work date. - Enter necessary and any relevant information regarding each case into the OWCP/DFEC case management system. - Other duties as assigned - Competitive Compensation, with an estimated annual income of  up tp $130,000 depending on the caseload you would like to carry.  (Employees in this role can take on as many or as few cases as they desire.)  Position Requirements: - Active state or compact RN license to work in the assigned areas - A minimum of two (2) years adult medical/surgical nursing experience and a minimum of two (2) years case management experience in the workers’ compensation arena. - Ability to handle confidential patient information. - Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers employer and treating physician’s office - Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated record - Also preferred (but not required) - Specialized certification in one of the following areas: Occupational Health (COHN); Insurance Rehabilitation (CIRS/CRRN), Disability Management (CDMS), and/or Nurse Case Manager Board Certified (ANCC/ANA).
